MFV Beauty: Ciaté Velvet Manicure

The British nail brand Ciaté came out with a new manicure this fall! The Ciaté Velvet Manicure, where they take inspiration of the crushed velvet trend seen on the McQueen, Balmain and Gucci A/W 2012 runways.

This manicure will add a matt, textured feel to your nails and it look and feel velvet. I'm trying to grow my nails out for this wonderful new trend! Can't wait to get the manicure kit.

The Ciaté Velvet Manicure kit is available in three colors: Mink Cashmere, Berry Poncho and Blue Suede. Your kit will come with a paint pot, crushed velvet and dusting brush. You can get yours at SEPHORA.

Beauty HOW TO : Diane Von Furstenberg S/S 2013

Hey all, so I remember publishing a post on a runway beauty round up and a few of my friends responded asking for a HOW-TO on DVF's runway look. The make up look is very uniformed and natural. On creating this HOW-TO, I chose to use a mix of all kinds of products I thought were most suitable. Start off with the Match Perfection foundation by Rimmel and then contouring with MAC's Sculpting Creme. I chose cream blush called Pot Rouge by BobbiBrown as it will give a more healthy and "punchy" look. Then we smoke out your lower lash line with Revlon's luxurious eyeliner, you can actually use any eyeliner with a smudge stick (avoid your lower waterline) and to complete this look a few whips of the Intensifying Long - Wear mascara by Bobbi Brown.
Honestly I think the trick to this is to keep tailoring around this look because the whole idea of it is enhance your look. You could always use other alternatives to the products suggested, if you do need any further alternatives - please leave a comment or contact over on twitter or Facebook :)

NYFW : Runway Beauty Round-up

People not only look at the new womenswear trends during NYFW, BEAUTY is a key focus too. I'm the kind of person who enjoys the complete look! I noticed this season that many designers had opted for a very natural - no make up type look! Love this trend, however I do love the red lips at the Jason Wu show. (YES, I always love my color!)
Anyways! Please leave a comment below if you wish to see a "How to" on any of the looks!

Beauty pick of the week - "Monica" Dolce and Gabanna

I'm a huge fan of Monica Belluci, she's so beautiful. I still remember the first time I was known of her was during my photography class when she was a muse to this famous photography of whose name I can't recall. Anyways, today she's the face of Dolce and Gabanna and this ad campaign was just sent out! I thought she looked stunning even in the age of 47 so I posted it up! The collection is called "Monica". The gorgeous italian beauty quoted "Lipstick is the most valuable weapon in a woman's makeup kit" which I completely agree upon! A new lipstick and lip color just changes the way one feels and/or even looks!

Beauty pick of the week: The Hey Sailor! Lipstick

Okay so I'm completely obsessed with makeup! Many told me I should start video tutorials but it's just not me. So I thought I should share a beauty product every week and let you all know what I think of it!
So my pick of this week is the Hey Sailor! Lipstick from M.A.C. I think this color is amazing its called the Red Racer! and it's perfect for the summer! I don't really like lipsticks that are too creamy. However this one isn't and  it's perfect for a casual day at the mall and goes with everything!

IFB Project #16: Morning Makeup Routine

Hey everyone, I know I haven't really updated my blog in quite sometime. Just finally got free : ( Its been hectic.. Anyways I decided to go for the IFB Project #16 which is my daily make up routine! I'd love to share it :)
So for foundation I used to use MAC - Studio fix but these days I use L'Oreal True Match foundation! which is amazing and has great coverage! Most of my friend's use it as well! After working on my foundation I dab on some Mac powder :) so the foundation stays on place! Plus the foundation isn't that heavy so its fine : )
After working on my foundation, I have this gorgeous coffee colored eyeshadow from Revlon : ) They are amazing for an everyday look and last long so its fine.  Sometimes I get in a mood for light pink tint and this gorgeous eyeshadow I bought from L'Oreal I think they've discontinued it here but it WOW. Its a bit sparkly but I love it! As long as you apply the right amount and don't over do it , it'll be just fine. Make sure to use a blending brush! Remember LESS IS MORE!

After I'm done with the shadow I work my way through a nice winged liner on my top eye lid. Dont really like adding much on the bottom. I'd suggest to use an angled brush if you're a starter and don't really know how to work your way through with a gel liner. After working on this I got my FAVORITE MASCARA! ITS PRACTICALLY THE BEST ONE I'VE USED SO FAR! Its been awarded as the best mascara through Vogue Beauty awards. Its called Voluminous Million Lashes by L'Oreal.
After working your way through the eyelashes I apply this all mineral blush by body shop.
And top it off by a nude lipstick by Maybelline, this vibrant red shade from L'Oreal called Sensual Grenade. Or sometimes I just got for a this lipgloss from Body Shop called Cherry Glimmer. Do check it out! Anyways I hope you all enjoy this post!
(PS . yes I know I used way too many L'Oreal products but I love em')
