2013 Grammys, Opinions anyone?

The most exciting part about the Grammys, WHAT THEY ALL WORE? I love to watch all the red carpet trends. This year I had quite a few opinions of what they all wore, some were hideous while others were stunning! I decided to be less diplomatic this time! So here's my take: 

The one who stunned me - Rihanna in an Alaia which is "like a totally important designer" (CLUELESS) 

I love Taylor in this classic white J-Mendel.

Alicia Keys - Love the silhouette, hate the fabric choice.

Alexa Chung - She looks like she's going to a garden party, NOT a good option for the Grammys.

Allison Williams looks stunning in a Kaufmanfranco.

Looks like Adele's heading to meet her Granny and ended up at the Grammys instead. 

CHIC! Beyonce in Osman.

Why are you doing this to yourself Florence, you look like a lizard. 

Many loved this, I hated it. It looks like she wrapped silk jersey around a black swimsuit. I do like her shoes here though.

As Zac Posen said, SEX sells BUT COLOR goes first and I'm not feeling this color.

Beautiful dress unfortunately not very flattering on Kelly

CFDA Awards

The awards this year had marked the 50th anniversary of the CFDA. The ceremony kicked off with a fashion show at the Lincoln Centre's Alice Tully Hall. The event was hosted by the Seth Meyers who sported the memorable black lace dress from Marc Jacobs and started off by quoting "Fashion people like hating things more than liking things, so I win either way" I think this one would be going in my collection of fashion quotes and it just cracked me up! Being a fashion student I've actually always see this happen we just always find it rare that people actually appreciate things and its always mostly about criticizing one. But oh well, people can never change it. Moving on- 

The winners for the evening were :

Womenswear designer of the year: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for The Row 

Menswear designer of the year: Billy Reid

Accessory designer of the year: Reed Krakoff

Swarovski award for womenswear: Joesph Altuzarra

Swarovski award for menswear: Plillip Lim

Swarovski award for accessory design: Tabitha Simmons 

Geoffrey Beene lifetime achievement award: Tommy Hilfiger

International award: Rei Kawakubo for Comme des Garçons 

Media award: Scott Schuman and Garance Dore 

Founders award: Andrew Rosen

Fashion icon award : Johnny Depp

Red Carpet love - MTV Movie awards 2011!

There were so many disasters at the MTV Movie awards this year like Jessica Szohr and Amanda Bynes. BUT I would cover the best of this year and what I've loved through the night! Also this time we've got such chic style with a little bit of edge!

Blake Lively in Michael Kors. Love the stacks of bangles and the color blocking however I don't think the purple suede Louboutins work for me.

Cannes Film Festival Fashion - Red Carpet love

This year to me, Fashion at the Cannes Film Festival wasn't as its best . I expected it to be better than what it always has been BUT there were a few peices that were just amazing .
